Moving Day Preparation

A few access and organization details can make moving day run much more smoothly.

Parking

Confirm where the truck can park and whether the building or city requires a permit or reservation.

Elevators

Reserve the service elevator when required and confirm the available time window and building requirements.

Stairs & long carries

Please let us know in advance about stairs, long hallways, narrow entrances or long carries, as these conditions may affect the time required to complete your move.

Access

Have keys, gate codes, entry approvals and building contacts available.

Heavy or special items

Please disclose TVs, mirrors, glass, marble, safes, oversized furniture or other special-care items in advance. Special handling and additional charges may apply.

Clear pathways

Keep hallways, doors and stairs clear of loose boxes, pets and other obstacles.

The night before

Keep personal essentials with you

Documents, medication, jewelry, cash, keys, chargers and other important personal items should remain separate from items being loaded onto the truck.
